This short-lived pedal was basically a Boss DD-2 with a simple sampler/trigger feature tacked on. Both the delay and sampler times are limited to 800ms which is great for normal delay use but pretty limited for sampling anything more than short blips and little drones. The delay itself is warm and punchy and actually sound better to our ears than the newer DD-3 and DD-5 models. The sampler mode has record and play modes that will require you to hit the pedal to record then reach down and turn the knob to play for endless looping. This is an awkward process and would have been better served if Boss had offered an external jack to switch modes. It's a fun pedal despite the limitations, and the additional trigger jack allows for some rhythmic looping when attached to a drum machine that is providing a pulse of some sort.
