Hunting down an original Uni-vibe seems a little pointless when you have amazing clones like the Ultra-Vibe being made. Along with being a near sound-alike of the original, the Ultra-Vibe has the modern advantages of true bypass, high grade components, and a friendlier layout. All the switches and dials are well spaced with the highlight being the large and tactile rate knob. This knob is wisely placed on the outer edge of the box for easy foot adjustments. A handy switch toggles between chorus and vibrato modes and the settings seem to apply perfectly when switching between modes. Sound-wise, the Ultra-Vibe has few peers. It's warm and breathy with a lush liquid quality that envelopes your signal effortlessly. Sweet spots can be found at just about any setting, so much so that were saying "ooohh" and "ahhh" with every turn.
