A very hip filter pedal for basically reducing your guitar tone down to the small fizzy sound of an old transistor A.M. radio. Variations abound but the LF-7 is a one trick pony you can hitch to just about any instrument and make it sound amazing. We patched this into the entire drum track on one song and then to the whole ending of another. If something in a mix isn't finding it own space, the LF-7 is a handy tool for finding that narrow frequency and fitting it in. We tried it on vocals and pulled off a convincing megaphone sound with all it classic grit. Ibanez suggests placing this it at the end of your effect pedals to apply the damage to your whole signal. That certainly works but try it anywhere and everywhere for that added in your face edge or to distance your sound from the rest of world. |
